It's safest to wait until the character is at a high level or has reached their maximum level. Knowing when to use the imbue ability can be tricky.
This is only available once per difficulty, but the ability to imbue can be saved for as long as the player wants. It's possible to finish Act 1 without completing the " Tools of the Trade" quest, so players should be sure to speak to Charsi and explore the Monastery Barracks thoroughly. Once the hammer is returned to Charsi, she will give players the opportunity to imbue one item. Defeat this Super Unique enemy to claim Charsi's Horadric Malus. Head into the Monastery Barracks from the Outer Cloister, then search the area to find the Smith. After reaching the Monastery Gates, players can speak to Charsi to obtain the " Tools of the Trade" quest.
